In the Atlantic Basin, there is an area of interest. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a weak area of low pressure over the Bay of Campeche are poorly organized.
Development of this area, if any, will be slow to occur. The environment in this area of interest is not conducive for development. Upper-level winds and proximity to land is making development unfavorable.
This system has a LOW chance (10%) of becoming a Tropical Cyclone during the next 48 hours.
Elsewhere, Tropical development is not expected during the next 48 hours.
