Barrie Oliver

Barrie Oliver joined KALB-TV In August 2009. She started out as a Production Assistant for the Jambalaya and Midday newscasts.  Barrie now serves as the News Producer for the Midday and Live at Five newscasts.  

Barrie graduated from Chicago's Benedictine University in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications. During her years at college, she was able to get hands-on training in editing, field reporting, anchoring, production and writing.  

Barrie also learned marketing and public relations skills while interning in the marketing and communications departments at Benedictine University, as well as the marketing and public relations departments at the Paragon Casino Resort.  

Aside from the news world, Barrie enjoys sports, working out, shopping, music and art.

Barrie is a native of Mansura, Louisiana, where she currently resides.

Barrie enjoys being a part of the News Channel 5 team and looks forward to accomplishing new goals in the future.
