Andrea is now classified as a post-tropical storm, or a once-tropical system which has degenerated into a non-tropical center of low pressure. The center of Andrea is about 15 miles NNE of Ocean City, Maryland. Movement is toward the northeast at 35 mph. Andrea's maximum sustained winds remain near 45 mph.
Andrea will spread heavy rain and strong wind into portions of New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts.
Elsewhere in the Atlantic Basin, tropical storm formation is not expected through the weekend.
