Temperatures changed little from Monday, although morning lows were one to three degrees lower at many locations. Anacoco fell all the way down to 69 degrees while Hagewood lingered at 75 degrees. The 30-year daily average is 71 degrees.
Afternoon highs once again hit the lower to middle 90s. The lowest temperatures came from Fairfield in Grant Parish with 89 degrees and Charles Park in Alexandria with 90 degrees. In contrast, the temperature was 95 at Anacoco, Pine Prairie, and Hagewood. The 30-year daily average is 91 degrees.
The coverage of rain dropped considerably from Monday. Only a few folks in Avoyelles and St. Landry Parishes reported rain, including Opelousas with 0.02 and Plaucheville with 0.04.
Wednesday will see temperatures a few degrees higher and little or no rain.
