Police say they have arrested man for stealing lawn mowers

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - On July 9, Alexandria Police Department arrested a man they say is responsible for stealing several lawn mowers worth more than $10,000 each.

Charles Coutee, 39 of Alexandria, has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen goods worth more than $1,500.

On July 5, Alexandria Police Department officers were dispatched to Rabalais Small Engine at 220 Windermere Blvd. in reference to a lawn mower theft.

The investigation found that on the night of July 3, between the hours of 11 p.m. and 12:20 a.m., someone allegedly stole three X-Mark Zero Turn lawn mowers.

The mowers were 48, 50 and 60 inch cut.

The investigation is ongoing.
