ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The future of the Alexandria Aces is clear. They will not finish the 2013 season. The United Baseball League made the announcement on Thursday.

John Bryant, one of the principals of the United Baseball League, said, "It is clear after two months of operations the public will not attend games at Bringhurst Field in its current conditions. Notwithstanding the city's work in isolating the compromised areas of Bringhurst Field and cleaning up the safe lower seating areas, the publics negative view of the stadium appears to be unchangeable. We thought the might last one more season as-is, but we were wrong."

A press release from Mayor Jacques Roy's office said that the city looks forward to speaking with Bryant concerning the Aces' 2014 season.
