Alexandria man arrested for burglary

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The Alexandria Police Department has arrested a man on one count of simple burglary.

According to APD, officers were dispatched to the La Quinta Inn at 6116 West Calhoun Drive in reference to a theft.  Officers spoke with the victim, who reported that someone entered his hotel room and took some electronic items.

The investigation reportedly led to Tyrus Gable, 27, of Alexandria. Gable is employed by the hotel and allegedly entered the room without permission.

Gable was arrested and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

All of the victim's items were reportedly returned.

The investigation is ongoing.
