The remnants of T.S. Chantal are struggling for dear life to stay relevant. The National Hurricane Center stated that there is a 10% chance of redevelopment of this system. While atmospheric conditions are marginally favorable at best for the storm, it will likely redevelop into a weak tropical storm if it redevelops at all. A hurricane hunter place was scheduled to intercept the system later today, but the mission has been canceled. The current trough sitting over the eastern US will help keep the system away from the Gulf Coast as it pulls it toward the north, with the help of the Bermuda High.
As far as the rest of the Atlantic Basin, we aren't expecting anything to develop within the next 48 hours.
