NPSO arrest suspect in double-murder

NATCHITOCHES, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Natchitoches Parish Sheriff's Office detectives arrest second suspect in January 2011 double-murder in Campti.

A joint investigation by the NPSO and Natchitoches Parish District Attorney's Office has led to the arrest of a second suspect in connection with the January 26, 2011 Double-Murder of Stanley Brimzey and Johnny Lee Brimzey of Campti according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Victor Jones Jr.

Renaldo N. Nargo, 29 of Campti, La., is already incarcerated in a Louisiana jail charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder. Nathan Dewayne Davis, 22 of 189 Tally Street, Campti, La., was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center on Friday afternoon at approximately 3:50 p.m. Davis was charged with two counts of "Principle to 1st Degree Murder" in connection with the case.

Chief of Investigations, Detective Greg Dunn, stated that this case was re-opened back in April when new evidence was discovered in the investigation. Police said a result of the investigation, detectives obtained sufficient evidence and probable cause to secure criminal warrants through the 10th Judicial District Court for Davis's arrest. The case will be turned over to the Natchitoches Parish District Attorney's Office for prosecution.
