THE TROPICS-DAY #45 - KALB-TV News Channel 5 & CBS 2

Posted: Updated:

The Tropical Atlantic is quiet and no named storm is anticipated through Wednesday.

We're already 45 days deep into the 2013 Atlantic Basin hurricane season and we have already had three named storms. Typically through mid-July, one named storm occurs. Thus, as expected, the 2013 season is active early.

None of our reliable models predict tropical cyclone formation this week.
