Alleged serial burglar arrested by police

 PINEVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – According to the Pineville Police Department, they have arrested a man for a series of burglaries.

PPD said that on July 17, around 7:42 a.m., they arrested 18-year-old Calvin Williams of Pineville. Williams arrest reportedly stems from several ongoing burglary and theft investigations in the Pineville area.

Investigators were able to identify Williams and take him into custody.

Williams is charged with simple burglary, criminal damage to property over $500, three counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, criminal damage to property, two counts of criminal trespassing, unauthorized use of an access card over $500, theft under $500, simple burglary of a religious place, and three counts simple burglary of a motor vehicle.

Williams was transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center.

His bond has not been set.

PPD said more arrests are possible. They are asking anyone with any information to contact the Pineville Police Department Investigations Bureau at 449-5652.

The investigation is ongoing.
