Four men arrested in four wheeler thefts

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The last man wanted by Rapides Parish deputies for theft of four wheelers has turned himself into police. This is according to the Rapides Parish Deputies Sheriff's Office.

On July 18, 20- year-old Anthony Dewayne Edgefield Jr., of Alexandria reportedly turned himself into authorities.

Deputies said they were dispatched on June 25, to the 390 block of Lamourie Road in reference to stolen four wheelers .

The complainant reportedly stated his two red Honda 300 four wheelers were stolen from his residence.  The complainant also stated they were both parked in the driveway the night before and gone the next morning.

Deputies said they were unable to determine if the four wheelers were driven or hauled away from the location. 

RPSO Detectives have initiated an investigation into to theft of these four wheelers.  Detectives say there has been a rash of four wheelers stolen in south Rapides Parish. 

According to deputies, on June 19, a deputy attempted to stop a subject on a four wheeler on Hudson Blvd.  The suspect fled the deputy causing a vehicle pursuit.  The suspect reportedly wrecked the four wheeler and fled on foot before deputies could apprehend him.  The four wheeler recovered was also stolen.

The investigation reportedly resulted in other stolen four wheelers have been recovered and the following individuals have been arrested.

Detrick Paul and Eugene Sykes were arrested on July 11 and Walker was arrested on July 12.

Paul, 17 is being charged with one count of felony criminal conspiracy and one count of felony theft of $1,500.

Skyles, 19 is being charged with one count of felony criminal conspiracy and one count of felony theft of $1,500.

Keywaynetheian Walker, 21 was also arrested for one count of felony criminal conspiracy and one count of felony possesion of stolen propery.

Paul and Sykes were released on a $3000 bond.

Walker was released on a $3500 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
