LSUA Offers Fast-Track Courses

Posted: Updated:

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5)- Do you have a goal to finish your college degree, but you just don't have to time to go to class every day of the week?

LSUA is offering fast-track courses this fall at The Learning Center for Rapides Parish.

This is the first time the accelerated courses are being offered during the traditional school year.

Students will meet in the classroom one day a week, and complete the rest of the course work online.

The program is designed for students who may have other obligations.

"For students that want to attend college full time but are so busy with work and families and their careers. So being able to take classes one night a week and attend full time or have the opportunity to attend full time is just an accelerated opportunity to their future careers," says Heather Poole, Executive Director of The Learning Center.

There is no additional tuition cost for the program, which will offer core courses like math, history, and English.
