We more than likely saw our last bit of rain for a while. It is possible that an isolated thunderstorm may make an appearance during the week, however most of us will remain dry. An area of high pressure in the NW gulf will be dominating the coast during the week. This should help inhibit any thunderstorm capability, however this will put us in a situation where temperature will begin to climb. We will heat up to the upper 90s by the end of the week. With the recent rain over the past week, the ground is still wet and we can expect heat indices to be high. Heat indices are already forecasted to be above 100 tomorrow, and will likely be well above 100 by Friday. Remember to stay in the shade and drink plenty of water when possible.
