Man and juvenile arrested for burglary

LEESVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – Two have been arrested for a string of multiple burglaries, and one of the suspects is said to be a juvenile.

According to the Leesville Police Department,  they arrested 36-year-old Randy Dixon of Leesville, along with a juvenile on July 24, for burglaries in the Leesville area.

Dixon has been charged with two counts of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, two counts of theft over $500, two counts of criminal damage to property, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Officers were dispatched on the night of July 24, to multiple burglaries that occurred simultaneously.  After LPD responded, Vernon Parish Sheriff's Department also received a call about a break in on Crosby Loop, just outside of Leesville. Crosby Loop was also not far from where LPD was dispatched.

Witnesses reported two white males were seen leaving the area of Crosby Loop. 

The investigation led to Dixon's home on Crosby Loop. LPD and VPSO searched the residence. Officers said, they located numerous stolen items at the residence.

Dixon's bond was set at $60,000.
