Anacoco man arrested for drugs

LEESVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – An inoperable tail light leads to drugs, a minor and an arrest.

According to the Leesville Police Department, they have arrested Divontez Winters, 18, of Anacoco for tail lamps, possession of marijuana, prohibited acts – drug paraphernalia, and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles.

On July 19, officers said they pulled over Winters for an inoperable tail light. The officers also observed a juvenile in the vehicle. Winters gave permission to search the vehicle. Officers said they found suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

The officers placed Winters under arrest. His bond was set at $8,000.

The parents of the juvenile were contacted.
