Pineville metal theft arrest

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5)  Man responsible for Pineville metal thefts discovered.

On July 23,Deputies were dispatched to a residence in the area of 4400 block Hwy 107 Pineville, LA in reference to a large amount metal items taken from the property. The victim stated among these items were antique wagon wheels, old bath tubs and other metal items that it had occurred over the past few months. Detectives said they began their investigation and discovered that the items were sold as scrap to a scrap yard in the Rapides Parish area. 

During the course of this investigation, Police said it was discovered that Jacob Richey Boone was responsible for the thefts. Boone was arrested on the July 24 for one count of Criminal Trespassing and one count of Theft >$500. His bond was set at $2,750. Detectives say the investigation is still ongoing and further arrest are pending with additional suspects.
