Traffic stop leads to meth arrest

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Police discover man in possession of meth during traffic stop.

On July 25, Deputies assigned to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office Metro Division seized approximately half an ounce of methamphetamine on a traffic stop. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Bolton Avenue for a broken tail light. Police said contact was made with the driver, Timothy Stoute, who was briefed on the violation. While interviewing the driver, police said deputies noticed two plastic bags later determined to contain approximately half an ounce of methamphetamine. 

Stoute was taken into custody without incident and booked in the Rapides Parish Detention Center where he was later released on a $10,250 bond.
