Four arrests made in Pineville metal theft

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) Police arrest four suspects in ongoing metal theft investigation.  

On July 24, 2013, Deputies were dispatched to 5000 block of LA Hwy 28 East, Pineville, LA in reference to several thefts of metal from the property. The victim stated that approximately 20 trailer axels and other heavy metal items missing from the property. A total of approximately 5,000 pounds of trailer axels and heavy metal items are missing. 

Detectives began their investigation and said they discovered four individuals responsible for the thefts. Police said the individuals were captured on surveillance cameras and through the cooperation of local scrap yards, the suspects were identified. 

Jacob Richey Boone, 23, was arrested on five counts of Criminal Trespassing and five counts of Theft. Boone is being held on $50,000 bond. Jared Kyle White, 23, was arrested on three counts of Criminal Trespassing and three counts of Theft. White is being held on $52,750 bond. Chandler Keith Jenkins, 24, was arrested on two counts of Criminal Trespassing and two counts of theft. Jenkins was released on $50,000 bond. Robert Allen McPhearson, 27, was arrest on one count of Criminal Trespassing and one count of Theft. McPhearson is being held on $50,000 bond.

All four suspects were arrested between July 25-26. Additional arrests are pending as this investigation continues. The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office ask that anyone with information on these thefts, please contact the RPSO Criminal Investigation Division at (318) 473-6727 or (318) 641-6000.
