The upper level ridge that has been dominating the South has finally started breaking down. This along with the introduction of the upper level low in the gulf has helped increase rain chances through the weekend. The rain chances will begin to taper off Monday, leaving us with lower rain chances for Tuesday, but an upper level trough with an associated cool front is forecasted to make its way through the area later in the week. This will help ease the humidity and heat slightly, and help increase our chances for rain. This week's forecast looks a lot different than what we've experienced the past two weeks. We may have highs in the 80s by Thursday! Hopefully this rain will get us out of the moderate drought stages and help relieve this burn ban. We can only hope.
