UPDATE: Fourth man arrested for allegedly attacking, beating, robbing man

CROWLEY, La. (KALB News Channel 5 ) – The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office says they have arrested the fourth man allegedly responsible for attacking, beating and robbing  a man in Ville Platte on August 7th.

Detectives arrested Craig Dustin Fontenot on August 13, near Crowley.  Detectives said they received information that Fontenot was in the Crowley area and they were able to work with the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office to bring him into custody.  

Fontenot was taken to the Evangeline Parish Jail. He is charged with second degree robbery and second degree murder.

According to EPSO, Leeann Fontenot, Amber Ducote, Casey Fontenot and Craig Dustin Fontenot are responsible for banning together and physically attacking a man on Louisiana 10, west of Ville Platte during the morning hours of August 7.

The suspects were said to have attacked the victim outside of Vidrine Corner Store and proceeded to knock the victim to the ground, kicking him in the face and the head. Ducote and Fontenot proceeded to go through the victim's vehicle and located a money bag worth approximately $1,500 in cash.

Leeann Fontenot, Amber Ducote, were all arrested and charged with second degree robbery and attempted second degree murder.

VILLE PLATTE, La. (KALB News Channel 5 ) – Three have been arrested for brutally attacking, beating and robbing a man. Detectives say, they are still looking for a fourth man they also think was involved in the crime.

According to Evangeline Parish Sheriff Office, deputies were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Louisiana 10, west of Ville Platte during the morning hours of August 7.

Deputies said they discovered that the driver had been physically attacked.  Detectives were notified and further investigation led to three suspects.

Leeann Fontenot and Amber Ducote were picked for the alleged crime.  Detectives said they determined that Fontento attacked the victim at the Vidrine Corner Store. Fontento contacted her brother Casey Fontenot during the incident.

The suspects were said to have knocked the victim to the ground, kicking him in the face and the head. Ducote and Fontenot proceeded to go through the victim's vehicle and located a money bag worth approximately $1,500 in cash.

The suspects then left the victim. A witness was able to identify all the suspects.

Leeann Fontenot, Amber Ducote, Casey Fontenot, were all arrested and charged with second degree robbery and attempted second degree murder.

Detectives are also looking for Craig Fontenot. They believe he was also involved in the attack, as well.

Additional suspect's is being sought, future arrest are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
