APSO arrest two for suspected drug trafficking

AVOYELLES PARISH, La. ( KALB News Channel 5 ) – The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office says they have arrested two for alleged drug trafficking.

According to the APSO, they have arrested Ronald Ryder of Deville and Johntae Long, age 24 of Batchelor for possession of schedule I CDS with intent to distribute.

APSO said they found approximately eight grams of suspected methamphetamine in Ryder's possession and a large quantity of ecstasy in Long's possession.

Long also had a warrant out for failure to appear in court when deputies took him into custody.

Deputies arrested Ryder Wednesday, August 7th, after they stopped Ryder in his pick up on Louisiana Highway 107.

Long, was arrested by deputies in Simmesport on Sunday, August 11th, after he was found to be in possession of a large quantity of the suspected ecstasy. 

Ryder was booked into the Avoyelles Sheriff's Office. Bond is set at $1,500.
