Renovated Baby Boutique

Posted: Updated:

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) The Central Louisiana Volunteers of America Baby Boutique received a major make over this summer.

Cheerleaders from Buckeye High School spent three months organizing, painting and cleaning the new Baby Boutique.

The Baby Boutique is used by parents participating in the "Earn While You Learn" program.

Buckeye Cheerleaders say they want parents have a positive experience while visiting the Baby Boutique.

"We really wanted to bring back to our community to help mothers and stuff who really need it and their babies. To bring them nice clothes and stuff so they do not just think this is some nasty place to get clothes. We want it to be really good and girly and cute. Even for boys, we wanted to make it just nice," said Brianna Ashley.

The Volunteers of America Central Louisiana location serves more than 2,500 people each year.
