ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5)—Alexandria officials say rain that occurred Tuesday and Wednesday has caused a tree to up root on a private property, fall against a public vent and tear a water main. This has caused damage and leakage.

Crews have been working around the clock to fix the water main.  Officials hope the main will be fixed Friday.

It's possible some residents maybe without water while repairs are underway.
