GONZALES, LA (WAFB) -The second person suspected of being involved in the shooting of a pregnant woman is behind bars after turning herself in to authorities Monday morning.

The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office reported Tiffany Victor, 27, of LaPlace, was booked on charges of accessory after the fact of attempted first-degree feticide and accessory after the fact of attempted second-degree murder in the shooting of Kenyia Houston, 25, of Gonzales. Victor is awaiting bond.

Deputies said Houston was eight months pregnant when she was shot Wednesday morning. She was rushed to an area hospital, where doctors performed an emergency delivery of the baby. She also underwent surgery for her gunshot wounds. APSO reported mom and baby are both in stable condition.

Cowan Collins, 27, of Hammond, Houston's ex-boyfriend, was arrested the day of the shooting. Investigators said he started firing shots at her while approaching her car, as she was about to leave her home in Gonzales. They added she drove off and while trying to get away, crashed on LA 621.

Collins is charged with attempted second-degree murder and attempted first-degree feticide. He was booked into the Ascension Parish Jail and his bond was set at $550,000.
