LSU to hold auditions for National Anthem singers

BATON ROUGE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – Auditions will be held September 8 for National Anthem Singers at LSU campus events.

LSU Athletics and the LSU College of Music & Dramatic Arts will hold open auditions for national anthem singers on September 8, from 1-3 p.m. in the School of Music Recital Hall, located at the corner of Dalrymple Drive and Infirmary Road. These auditions are for individuals or groups interested in possibly singing the anthem at various athletic events on campus, with the exception of football games.

LSU faculty, staff and students, along with the general public, can take part in the auditions. Auditions can be either vocal or instrumental. Vocal auditions must be performed a cappella, unless accompanied by instruments. In addition to solo performances, ensemble and collaborative auditions are also encouraged.

Applicants are encouraged to pre-register for auditions. A pre-registration form will be available for printing at www.lsusports.net in the coming days. Completed applications can be faxed to (225) 578-2385, or scanned and emailed to promotions@lsu.edu.
