The Tropical Atlantic remains quiet today and no named storms are expected through Friday.
In the longer-term, a tropical wave is located about 1400 miles east of the Lesser Antilles. The wave is moving toward the west at 15 mph. Slow development of this system is possible over the weekend and early next week.
Another tropical wave is expected to emerge off the west coast of Africa on Friday. Slow development is possible over the weekend and next week.
