Tip Leads to Arrests in Logging Case

GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The Grant Parish Sheriff's Office and the Department of Agriculture and Forestry recently asked the public for their help for information about vandalism of logging equipment near Georgetown and has arrested two for the crime. 

Detective say 18-year-old Harley Arledge of Olla, was arrested for Simple Arson, Criminal Mischief, and Criminal Damage to Property (two counts).  Bond was set at $40,000 for Arledge. 

Investigattor say 19-year-old James Beckley III, of Georgetown, was arrested for Simple Arson, Criminal Mischief, and Criminal Damage to Property.  Bond was set at $35,500 for Beckley. 

"This is a perfect example of the community and law enforcement working together," stated Sheriff Steven McCain.
