WHEELING, W.Va. (AP) - Police have arrested two suspects in the slaying of a Wheeling Jesuit University student.

Wheeling police say 22-year-old Craig Tyler Peacock of Clewiston, Fla., and 24-year-old Jarrett Mathis Chandler of Winnfield, La., are each charged with murder. They're accused of killing 21-year-old Kevin Figaniak of Perkasie, Pa.

Both suspects are being held at the Northern Regional Jail on $1 million cash bond each. Jail records didn't indicate whether either man has an attorney.

Police say Figaniak and a friend were walking toward the Wheeling Jesuit campus when they were attacked at about 1:45 a.m. Saturday. The Allegheny County medical examiner's office in Pennsylvania said that Figaniak was pronounced dead just after 3 a.m. Sunday at a Pittsburgh hospital.

Peacock and Mathis were arrested around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday at a campsite.
