Two in juvenile sex case arrested again

RAPIDES PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office arrest two in juvenile sex case again on more charges.

RPSO Detectives said on September 4, they have again arrested the subjects in the ongoing investigation into criminal sexual conduct with juveniles that started in July of this year. After further investigation, RPSO Detectives said they were able to establish sufficient probable cause tending to prove additional crimes perpetrated by Hauenstein and/or Vanasselberg upon the juvenile victims. 

On September 4, RPSO officials said additional warrants were granted for Kyle Smith Hauenstein's arrest in reference to 25 counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles, 2 counts of Pornography with Juveniles, 61 counts of Aggravated Rape and 28 counts of Sexual Battery.  Additional warrants were also granted for Dorothy Jean Vanasselberg's arrest in reference to 58 counts of Aggravated Incest, 25 counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles, 2 counts of Pornography with Juveniles, 53 counts of Aggravated Rape and 26 counts of Sexual Battery. 

RPSO officials said Both Hauenstein and Vanasselberg were arrested in reference to their respective warrants and continue to remain in the Rapides Parish Detention Center. Currently Vanasselberg's bond is set at over $2 million dollars and Hauenstein's is set at $2.8 million dollars. Officials said these bonds are subject to increase as bond amounts have yet to be set in reference to these most recent arrests.
