Additional Charges For Two Rapides Residents

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) An ongoing investigation has led to additional charges for two Rapides Parish residents.

The charges stem from an investigation involving sexual crimes against juveniles that started in July.

Dorothy Jean Vanasselberg of Elmer and Kyle Hauenstein are charged with multiple sex related crimes.

Vanasselberg is charged with 53 counts of aggravated rape and 58 counts of aggravated incest.
Hauenstein has 61 charges aggravated rape.

The Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office told us the investigation is the biggest RPSO has ever seen.

"We are going to investigate these and take them where they lead us. We are going to charge these people with these charges. Again, it is one of the largest amount of counts of this type of crime that Sheriff Hilton has seen in his thirty plus year career," said Lt. Tommy Carnline.
