Air Force Hurricane Hunter reports indicate that 93-L has developed into Tropical Depression #10. A center of low pressure was identified about 175 miles ENE of Veracruz, Mexico. Movement is toward the west at 7 mph. The maximum sustained wind is 35 mph.
The depression is expected to move slowly and erratically for a couple of days and conditions favor strengthening. It is likely that TD #10 will be named Ingrid by Friday. The storm is expected to resume a west-northwest motion late in the weekend and landfall in Mexico well south of Brownsville, Texas. Heavy rain will fall in south Texas and much of Mexico from this storm. Little impact is expected here in central Louisiana.
