Leesville Police make theft arrest

LEESVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - Leesville woman arrested on charges of Criminal Conspiracy and Theft.

According to the Leesville Police Department, on September 12, an Officer with the LPD was called to a business on South 5th Street in reference to a black female entering the business and stealing several items. Police said when the Officer arrived on scene, he met with an employee of the business. The employee told the Officer that she had several store security videos showing a female, taking items on three separate occasions, concealing the items and leaving the business without paying for the items.

The suspect was identified as Stephanie Lynette Frazier, 44 years old, of Leesville. According to LPD, Warrants were issued for Frazier and she was located by the Officer and arrested. Stephanie Frazier was booked into the Leesville City Jail on the charges Criminal Conspiracy and Theft Over $500.  Her total bond was set at $10,000. LPD said there is an on-going investigation into the identity of the black female that was assisting Frazier commit the crimes.
