Police: Three arrested for burglary

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – Police have arrested three for burglary.

According to Alexandria Police Department, they have arrested Elvis Davis, Adrian Griffin, and Jermainacus Baxter for allegedly breaking into a business around 9:23 p.m. Saturday, September 14.

Officers were dispatched to a business on Lee Street in reference to a reported burglary. Responding officers said they observed three individuals inside a secured area of the business.

Officers arrested Davis on the scene. Griffin and Baxter were said to have fled on foot, but were taken into custody on White Street shortly afterwards.

Officers said they found several cars to be burglarized on the property.

Elvis Davis, 25, of Alexandria, is charged with one count of criminal trespass, one count of simple  burglary,  one count of contempt of court, and one count of probation violation.

Adrian Griffin, 23, of Alexandria, is charged with one count of criminal trespass, one count of simple burglary, one count of possession of burglary tools, and one count of contempt of court.

Jermainacus Baxter, 25, of Alexandria, is charged with one count of criminal trespass, and one count simple burglary.

The investigation is ongoing.
