ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - If you know an outstanding woman who deserves to be honored for her achievements, now is the time to nominate her.

The YWCA is once again looking to honor women with their Decades of Women.  They will honor six women, beginning with those in their twenties. Nominations are open through the end of the week.  The organization wants to recognize these women for the great job they do.

"If you know someone who is great at work or a great mother or a great friend a great volunteer nominate her.  We just want to acknowledge all of these wonderful women and all the great works they are doing in our community," said Katie Vanderlick of the YWCA.

If you know of someone who should be honored, you can nominate them by calling the YWCA at 442-3397.  You can also log on to http://www.ywcaalex.org/decades-women.
