Deputies: father and son arrested for drugs and burglary

TIOGA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – Deputies arrest a father and son for burglary and possession of drugs.

According to Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, they have arrested Joshua Clay Daenen, 26,  for simple burglary and Samuel August Daenen for possession of drugs.

Deputies said they received a complaint in reference to a residential burglary that was said to have occurred early Sept. 13th in Tioga. The complaint reported a variety of items stolen including: electronics, jewelry, medication, money, and food.

The following day RPSO Detectives were contacted by the complainant and additional information was given that helped the case. The additional information and crime scene evidence made Joshua Daenen a suspect, according to RPSO.

Later the evening of the 14th, a search warrant was granted for Joshua Daenen's residence. Detectives said when they arrived at the home, they found Josua Daenen and his father, Samuel Daenen allegedly loading the stolen property into a vehicle.

Both were taken into custody. A search was said to have found illegal drugs on their person and a revolver in Joshua Daenen's possession.

Joshua Clay Daenen of Tioga, is charged with simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, criminal damage under $500, possession of CDS I, possession of CDS IV and illegal carrying of weapons with drugs. 

Samuel August Daenen of 61, also of Tioga, is charged with one count possession of CDS V and two counts possession CDS II. 

Both were taken to the Rapides Parish Detention Center for booking. They were later released after posting bond.
