Ingrid is no more, but right behind her old track is another area of concern. Invest 95-L is near the Yucatan Peninsula. The National Hurricane Center has given this system a 60% chance of development within the next several days. Crossing the terrain of the Yucatan is obviously not conducive for this system. Also, it is right in the wake of Hurricane Ingrid, which caused significant upwelling in the Bay of Campeche. This It is hard to say exactly how much this storm will be able to intensify at the moment. Computer models are fairly concentric with a WNW track into Mexico. We will continue to monitor the progress of this next system in the days to come. The Bay of Campeche can be a sweet spot for these storms, especially this time of year. This storm will bring heavy rains and winds to Mexico regardless.
Humberto is still a tropical storm, but even he will begin to settle down soon as he is whisked away to the NE Atlantic. Humberto is no threat to Louisiana.
