A WARM AND DRY WEDNESDAY

Posted: Updated:

By all accounts Wednesday was a pleasant day for central Louisiana residents.

Morning lows ranged through the 60s with dense fog early at some locations. Winnfield and Jena were the cool spots with 61 degrees. Marksville was the warm spot with a low of 68 degrees. The daily average is 63 degrees and the record is 48 set in 1897.

Fulltime sunshine brought daytime maximum temperatures into the middle 80s to the lower 90s. Natchez, Miss. continued to be the cool spot with a high of 84 degrees while Bellwood went up to 93 degrees. The daily average is 85 degrees and the record is 99 set in 1905.

Temperatures tonight will fall a few degrees lower than last night but Thursday's highs will range from the upper 80s to the middle 90s. No rain is expected until Sunday.
