PINEVILLE, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – Detectives say they have arrested a Pineville man for allegedly selling them drugs.

According to Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, they have arrested 21-year-old David Bradley Harris, and charged him with Distribution of CDS I.

Detectives said they conducted a door-to-door investigation on Sept. 19, asking residence in the Pineville community if they have seen any suspicious activity.

Detectives said they responded to a complaint that led them to a residence, where they were invited into the home. A subject who was asleep on the couch, later identified as David Harris, woke up and noticed detectives in the living room. Detectives were wearing exposed side arms and Rapides Parish Sheriff badges in plain view, according to RPSO.

One of the detectives asked, "Do you have $40 worth". Harris allegedly dug into a back pack and produced approximately $40 worth of synthetic marijuana.  The detective then told Harris he wanted "real weed".  Harris then allegedly produced suspected marijuana and sold it to the detective, according to RPSO.

After paying for the suspected marijuana, detectives advised Harris of his Miranda Rights and placed him under arrest.

Harris was taken into custody and transported to the Rapides Parish Detention Center.  He was later released on a $5,000 bond.
