APD upgrades charges against Pineville man accused of vehicle burglary

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – Police have filed more charges against a Pineville man that was arrested on Thursday for vehicle burglary.

According to a release from Alexandria Police Department, they have added two more counts of vehicle burglary and one count of contempt of court to 26-year-old Brandon Michael Coker's list of charges. Shortly after Coker's arrest, he was charged with two counts of vehicle burglary.

This brings the total to four counts through APD.

Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office has also charged Coker with seven counts of vehicle burglary, one count of theft: $300, and contempt of court for vehicle burglary in the Kolin area.

APD said an investigation into vehicle burglaries in West Alexandria started Sept. 9, and it quickly led them to Coker. The burglaries occurred on Alex Drive and Rue Notre Dame, according to APD.
