The auditorium will be open at 4 p.m. Thursday for any individuals or groups wanting to set up to give out Halloween Treats from 5-8 p.m.

Sept. 27: Nov. 2: Tree Farm Massacre – TRM is in Leesville and is not for the faint of heart, at least that's what the website says. The Louisiana horror trail is a walking trail and takes around 30 to 45 minutes to go through. Gates are open 6 p.m. to midnight. Children under 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Oct. 15 Pumpkin Carving Contest - LSUA students will be showing off their creative skills in the Pumpkin Carving Contest. All pumpkins will be displayed on the sidewalk in front of the cafeteria the morning of the 15th from 8: 30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Each pumpkin will be tagged with a number and theme/name. Votes will be tallied and the winner will be announced on the Quad at 12:00 noon and receive a $100 gift card to the LSUA bookstore. Votes will be based on the most creative, unique, funny and original pumpkin carvings.

Oct. 25 - Halloween Open Mic Night - Empty Space Players at LSUA invites all to bring their scariest, creepiest and most blood-curling story, song, poem, monologue, mime, etc. and share them at Halloween Open Mic Night. Offerings should be kept under 15 minutes. The free event will begin at 7 p.m., and is open to students and the community. Everyone is welcome to come in costume. Oct. 25 -Tales Along the Bayou: Ghost Stories at Kent House - The event starts at 6 p.m. and is open to the public. Chick-fil-a will be selling food and drinks.
Oct. 25: Fall Festival/ Halloween Carnival - Central High School of Larto Lake is hosting the event. It starts at 6 p.m. There will be games for the children, Bingo, a cake walk and costume contests for all ages.
Oct. 25- 26 -The Night of Horror Haunted house for Hearts 4 Paws Animal Rescue - All proceeds go for animal rescue. It starts at dark and lasts until midnight. $10 It will be held at 201 Murphy Street, Alexandria.
October 26: Thrift or Treat - The Alexandria Flea Market vendors will be hosting their very first "Thrift or Treat"! The event will be held at 5412 Masonic Drive on the Flea Market grounds, just past Home Depot. Oct. 26- St. Mary's School annual Halloween party - The party will be held in the St. Mary's School Gym from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. There will be a costume contest so costumes are encouraged. There will be a D.J. and drinks will be sold. Advanced tickets are $12 a person and $20 for a couple.
