NEW ORLEANS (AP) - A fugitive from Tennessee, who was wanted for statutory rape and kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl, has been arrested in Louisiana.

The FBI, in a news release, says 42-year-old Charles L. Parrish was picked up at the Ranch House Hotel in Marksville, La., on Thursday. Authorities say the victim traveled with Parrish, of White County, Tenn., to Louisiana sometime between Tuesday and Thursday.

The Avoyelles Parish Sheriff's Office identified Parrish's vehicle and the girl at the hotel and set up surveillance. Law enforcement later arrested Parrish without incident when he returned to the hotel and exited his vehicle.

The teenager also was found. Parrish was booked into the Avoyelles Parish jail.
