There are two areas of interest in the Atlantic Basin. First is Tropical Depression 11. While atmospheric conditions are conducive for development, this storm isn't expected to put on much of a show. The storm is forecasted to circle about and fizzle away in the central Atlantic. We will continue to monitor this storm however it is not expected to affect central Louisiana.
There is also an area in the southern Caribbean of disorganized storms. The National Hurricane Centers says that this storm only has a 10% chance of development within the next 48 hours. Conditions look slightly favorable for development for this area of interest as it moves NW. We will continue to monitor this system as it develops.
