GPSO: Man and Woman arrested for possession of drugs

GRANT PARISH, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – Authorities have arrested a man and a woman for possession of drugs.

According to Grant Parish Sheriff's Office, they have arrested 53- year-old Noland Dubois and 42-year-old Amber Normand both of Montgomery for possession of drugs.

The Grant Parish Sheriff's Office said Corporal Donna Bryant was on a routine patrol and discovered a vehicle in a ditch. The vehicle was facing oncoming traffic on Campground Road, north of Montgomery. 

Cpl. Bryant said as she approached the vehicle, she noticed something being thrown out of the window. It was said to be a bag of suspected marijuana and Noland Dubois threw it from the vehicle, according to GPSO.

Dubois admitted that the suspected marijuana was his and that he threw it out.  Amber Normand was in the vehicle with Dubois, and admitted to having suspected crystal methamphetamine hidden in her clothing, according to GPSO

Dubois was arrested for possession of CDS I (marijuana) and obstruction of justice. Normand  was arrested for possession of CDS II (crystal methamphetamine).
