ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) - The Food Bank of Central Louisiana and Suddenlink are once again partnering to help the needy in Cenla.

The seventh annual "Connecting to Those in Need" food drive continues until November 20th.

The goal is to collect 80,000 pounds of non-perishable food items that will be distributed by the food bank to its 93 member agencies.

In addition to helping out families in need, you also have a chance to take home a big prize.

"If you donate five cans or more, you are eligible to enter a drawing for a 60 inch, high definition television that's being provided by Suddenlink.  So, there's some extra incentive for folks to give," Jayne Wright-Valez, the food bank's executive director, said.

You can find more information about the food drive at www.fbcenla.org.
