Police: Second man arrested in burglary investigation

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB News Channel 5) – A second man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a home on Joyce Street.

Police said they arrested Toreon J. Dotson, 21, of Alexandria on Thursday, and charged him with one count of aggravated burglary.

On October 7, Alexandria police arrested also Keldrick D. Mitchell, 27, of Alexandria in connection with the crime. He is charged with one count of aggravated burglary.

Officers were dispatched on October 3, around 11:56 a.m. to a residence. Officers found that someone had entered the residence and took several items including electronic games and firearms. Detectives were called in to assist.

The investigation is ongoing. No other details have been released.
