The splendid weather pattern of late continued Wednesday for folks in central Louisiana.
Morning lows once again were well below normal. The thermometer at Winnfield and Jena dipped to 46 degrees but at Toledo Bend Dam, the low was 54 degrees. The 30-year daily average is 57 degrees and the record is 38 set in 1938.
Strong sunshine forced temperatures about 5-8 degrees higher than Tuesday's readings. Natchez, Miss., Charles Park in Alexandria, and Atlanta only saw the upper 70s. On the other hand, Bellwood, Esler airport, and Ville Platte hit 83 degrees. The 30-year daily average is 81 and the record is 97 set in 1909.
Only minor changes will occur Thursday as a few clouds appear in the sky and temperatures climb a few degrees higher.
