Grant Parish Deputies discover meth lab

GRANT PARISH, LA. (KALB News Channel 5) Traffic stop leads Grant Parish Deputies to discovery of a meth lab.

According the Grant Parish Sheriff's Office, a traffic stop for no brake lights led Grant Parish deputies to discover a meth lab. GPSO said that after deputies discovered ingredients that are used to manufacture methamphetamine in the vehicle, a search warrant was secured for 3261 Gray's Creek Road. Upon searching the residence, deputies discovered crystal methamphetamine and more components and ingredients. Deputies also learned that Matthew Gross and Ricky Brown had just finished "cooking" methamphetamine. 

According to GPSO, Matthew Gross, 22, of 3261 Gray's Creek Road, was arrested for Creation or Operation of a Clandestine Lab, Possession of CDS II (crystal methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and a fugitive warrant from Rapides Parish. Ricky Brown, 28, of 3261 Gray's Creek Road, was arrested for Creation or Operation of a Clandestine Lab, Possession of CDS II (crystal methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving Under Suspension, Brake Lights required and two fugitive warrants. According to GPSO, they were booked into the Grant Parish Detention Center and bond was set at $32,000 for Brown and $31,000 for Gross.
