RAPIDES PARISH, LA. (KALB News Channel 5) Son of victim found in Little River arrested on charge of First Degree Murder.

According to the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office, on October 1, 2013, the Grant Parish Sheriff's Office responded to Lonnie's Landing on Little River in reference to an unidentified female body that appeared to have been dumped into the water. GPSO began an investigation into the identification of the body. Evidence at the scene indicated foul play was possibly involved.

According to RPSO, on October 5, 2013, the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office received information that the body recovered by Grant Parish may be a resident from the Hickory Grove Loop area.  The Deville Substation dispatched a deputy to 7756 Hickory Grove Loop to make contact with Paula Kimberlin for a welfare check. Upon arrival, the responding deputy was unable to make contact with anyone. However, officials said the deputy did locate what appeared to be a crime scene.

RPSO said Rapides Parish detectives arrived on the scene and after conferring with detectives from Grant Parish, both agencies came to the conclusion that the crime scene at 7756 Hickory Grove Loop was related to the unidentified female body located at Lonnie's Landing on Little River. The location where the body was found was only a few miles from the residence on Hickory Grove Loop. The crime scene was processed by Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office Crime Scene investigators and evidence was collected.

According to RPSO, during the investigation, detectives determined the victim's son, Anthony Lejune Deville, 38, could not be located, and that the victim's car was missing. A warrant was issued for Anthony Deville for Theft of a Motor Vehicle. He was also being considered a person of interest in the homicide. The victim's vehicle was flagged in the national database (NCIC) as being stolen, and Deville was wanted for questioning in reference to the homicide investigation.

According to RPSO, on October 6, 2013, the Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office was contacted by the Texas Rangers and advised that the suspect and the vehicle were in custody in Cooke County, Texas. Detectives traveled to Cooke County where they processed the vehicle as a crime scene and interviewed the suspect.

RPSO said subsequent to the investigation, an additional warrant was issued for Anthony Lejune Deville for one count of First Degree Murder. Deville was extradited from Texas and transported back to Rapides Parish where he is currently being held at the Rapides Parish Detention Center without bail. Detectives say the investigation is still ongoing.

"We are pleased to announce an arrest in this homicide investigation. I want to thank to all the agencies involved; the Grant Parish Sheriff's Office, the Texas Department of Public Safety, Texas Rangers and the Cooke County Sheriff's Office. I want to commend our deputies and detectives for their work in giving this family a little closure in the death of Mrs. Kimberlin," said Sheriff William Earl Hilton.
