The spell of warm and humid weather continued Tuesday.
Morning lows ranged from the middle 60s to the lower 70s. Natchez, Miss. reported 64 degrees and Oakdale was close behind at 65 degrees. The thermometer at Hagewood only fell to 71 degrees. The 30-year daily average is 55 degrees and the record is 30 set in 1893.
Afternoon maximum temperatures ranged through the 80s. Esler Airport reported the highest reading with 88 degrees. Winnfield and Natchez, Miss. were the lowest at 82 degrees. The 30-year daily average is 79 and the record is 94 set in 1963.
A cold front will move through central Louisiana overnight and Wednesday morning. Rain is likely with this front and lower temperatures will be felt by Wednesday evening.
